The Women of Mass Destruction rumbled with the Angels of Death in front of a sold-out crowd during the Memphis Roller Derby's inaugural bout Saturday, November 18th. Over 900 fans made the journey to FunQuest, Collierville's rockin' roller rink, to see the Mid-South's newest and most thrilling sport.

The Angels of Death's backbreaking defensive line of Manda Malice, The Victator, Brooken Bones, and Cat Claus regularly sent the Women of Mass Destruction reeling off the track and into the laps of the fans in the "suicide seating." The WMDs focused their efforts on assisting their top scoring jammers, Jill 'Em All and Your Mom, through the pack in order to keep pace with the league's fastest jammer, the AOD's very own Lil' Cinner.

The score stayed deadlocked throughout the entire bout, but AODs were dead set on winning and threw down just as hard in the last five minutes of the game as they did in the first to pull out a win. The final score: AODs 168, WMDs 136.

Don't miss your chance to see live derby action. The Legion of Zoom tangles with the PrissKilla Prezleys on Saturday, December 9th.
